What is your favorite thing to eat?
Steak. Definitely steak. Oh wait…steak wrapped in bacon! Yeah, that’s it.
What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
I’d have to go with “Whiskey In The Jar” by Metallica (original by Thin Lizzy) and “I’m Shipping Up To Boston” by The Dropkick Murphy’s.
What is one of your favorite quotes?
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.” – Mark Twain This quote was the motivation for my most recent tattoo, which is an old ship setting sail into the unknown.
If you could know the answer to any question, besides “What is the meaning of life?”, what would it be?
What is my dog really thinking about when he stares at me?
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
People sometimes tell me I look like Opie from Sons of Anarchy, which is pretty badass. I guess it’s the beard?
What is your favorite form of exercise (riding a bike isn't a requirement to work here)?
I’m gonna have to go with volleyball. I played a lot of volleyball in high school and college, and while I don’t play as much as I used to it’s still my favorite form of exercise. I’ll definitely play again when I am able to get cybernetic knees, though.
My current favorite is this one:
Mostly because I relate to it because of the giant beard I’ve had for a long time. Otherwise it would be a cat gif!
Favorite place in all the world?
Ireland, even though I’ve never been. It’s a beautiful place, and someday the plan is to retire in Ireland and run a pub. I’m pretty sure that I missed my calling of being a bartender, so it’s now part of my end game plan in Ireland.
What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Raising my sons is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve got 4 boys ages 9 to 15, so we’re very busy in all stages of life. Surprisingly, the stork doesn’t deliver a users manual when it drops off a baby…go figure.
The best part of waking up is…?
Coffee is definitely the best part of waking up. The Folgers marketing team nailed it back in 1984 when they launched that TV campaign. And now you have that jingle stuck in your head, don’t ya?
