Meet the Team: QLer Nadine Struzziero

Nadine grew up in Pennsylvania (and yes, she’s still a Phillies fan!). She graduated from Penn State University (WE ARE!) with a B.S. in Marketing and International Business. After graduation, Nadine moved to San Antonio, TX for a job with Exxon Mobil.  After a few years, she relocated to Houston, Texas where she received an MBA from the University of Houston. While in the Lone Star state, Nadine fell in love with tacos and Blue Bell ice cream. She moved to Florida for a Marketing position with an international chemicals company.

Nadine had the opportunity to travel a lot with work and has been to over 26 countries. She still believes the U.S. is one of the most beautiful and diverse places in the world. In Florida, Nadine picked up sailing, tennis and yoga. She also started gardening; even growing bananas! This past winter, she and her husband had the opportunity to move to Colorado! She is excited to dust off her skiing skills, try out lake sailing, and maybe, if she’s lucky, replace her banana tree with an apple tree. Nadine is also very honored to be joining the Quick Left team as the Director of Marketing!

1. What is your favorite thing to eat?

A. Without a doubt, ice cream. In my mind, ice cream is it’s own food group.

2. What is one of your favorite quotes?

A. “You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”  — Dr. Seuss

3. If you were to star in a reality TV show, what would it be called?

A. Hmm… so I think instead of a reality TV show, I would rather be on SNL!  I think that would be so cool!  I don’t know what my skit would be called, but I hope Tina Fey could make a special exception to come back to the show that night.

4. What is your favorite form of exercise?

A. Honestly, I really like walking my dog, but I’m pretty sure it’s the other way around… she walks me.  I think dog walking is really peaceful. For physical activities, I am really into biking, yoga, and tennis too.

5. Favorite place in the world and why?

A. I really love traveling and exploring, but I also really loving being at home too. I think my favorite place is sitting on the couch with my husband, eating ice cream and binge watching a TV series.

6. What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

A. I hiked the Inca Trail in Peru.  I’ve never knew walking uphill could be so hard, but it really can be…

7. If you could sing one song absolutely flawlessly, what song would it be?

A. Whitney Houston, “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” But sadly, I can’t even carry a tune… and I think most of my friends would attest to my awful dancing skills.

8. If you could give your 10-year old self one piece of advice, what would it be?

A. Everything will work out, it always does…and wear sunscreen.

9. The best part of waking up is?

A. Looking over the side of the bed, and seeing my dog, Sola, staring at me… wondering why I’m not up yet, and when I’m going to feed her.

10. What are you looking forward to most in Colorado?

A. I’m really excited for seasons again! I miss Fall so much! I’m excited for the leaves to change, to carve pumpkins, and to cut down a Christmas tree! I’ll probably regret this answer next winter, when I am shivering and missing the 80 degree winters in Florida.
