Meet the Team: QLer Greg Pierce

Greg was born and raised in New York. Immediately after graduating from the University at Albany he and a friend bought a van for $150 and drove out west. After living in places like Albuquerque, Vail, Lake Tahoe, Denver, and Stockholm, he found his peace in Boulder, Colorado. He still enjoys traveling and has visited 49 of the 50 states and all seven continents.

Greg started his career as a software developer (Visual Basic, C, C++, and Java) but to everyone’s benefit he no longer writes code. For the past several years Greg has been managing software development and implementation projects. Two of his most enjoyable projects were as technical project lead in an international team of system integrators implementing postal services on the Internet for the Swedish Post office, and as founding member of the IJIS institute involved in the design and development of the GJXML and NIEM data models for the sharing of public safety information in response to the 9/11 attacks. Greg is a classic Aquarian whose passions include telemark skiing, hiking, backpacking, international travel, volleyball, reading, ultimate frisbee, and the New York Rangers.

Greg is on the delivery team and is an Agile Project Manager at Quick Left.
