Story Telling Through Emerging Media: A Panel Discussion:

Wednesday, October 8th, 6-7:30 PM

This event promotes discussion on how story changes and evolves across various disciplines of work. Our five panelists will explore how they weave story into the fabric of their work and face the challenge of staying fresh. We’ll cover the evolution of story, why story is so important to your work, explore the crossroads between fields and see where it’s all taking us. A Q&A will follow.

Panelists Include: Tawny Schlieski – Intel Labs David Hansen – Hansen Architectural Design Daniel H. Wilson – PhD, novelist and writer for DC Comics more panelists to be announced shortly..

The panel will be moderated by John Beveridge and Bryce Hill of Ponte.


How to Sell Design to Developers:

Short presentation on "How to sell Design to Developers". Followed by drinks.

Amazing software is built with a seamless collaboration between Designers and Developers. However, specializations, processes, and mindsets can often be at odds when trying to accomplish the common goal of shipping custom software.

Design speaks one language, and Development speaks another. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. In this talk, I will explore different approaches to building products, and how to effectively merge design and development together.
