Breaking News Alert!

In case you have been living under a rock for the month and have somehow managed to miss the endless tweets, PR from the White House, or general frenzy around Boulder – Startup Week is here!! And Quick Left is getting in on the action.

We are hosting two events here at the Quick Left offices – Grab A Beer & Learn Why Colorado is Better Than California for Your Standup on Friday, May 20th, and Fast Pitch Startup Contest on Saturday, May 21st.

If you're planning on attending, check out the plancast where you can RSVP for all of the events happening.

We are collaborating with Sympoz for Grab A Beer & Learn Why Colorado is Better Than California for Your Standup. At this event our speakers will be talking about beating the Valley fundraising bias as well as pros and cons of starting a company in Colorado vs. California.

We have two great speakers from Sympoz joining us, CEO John Levisay and VP Product Josh Scott.

John Levisay – CEO
John has held key executive roles at, and ServiceMagic. John joined eBay in 1999, and was an integral part of the early strategy and launch of eBay Motors, helping grow it into a $14 billion a year global business. Most recently, John served as the Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for ServiceMagic. Prior to eBay, John spent six years at General Electric. John received his MBA from The University of Michigan and his BA from Colgate University.

Josh Scott – VP Product
Josh is the former General Manager of New Category Expansion & Vice President of Product for ServiceMagic. Prior to joining ServiceMagic, Josh led the product and marketing teams for a number of venture funded start-ups and managed small business buying at eBay, helping it grow into a $4.7B line of business for the company.
