Career Change: The 4 Stages of a Flying Trapeze

Recently I made one of the most transformational decisions of my life.  I decided to change my career.  It doesn’t sound like a big deal...until I tell you that I’m 34 years old.  And solely financially responsible for my own survival.  And left a 6 figure salary as a Director with a nationally renowned, Pulitzer Prize winning publication in exchange for a temporary minimum wage position.

Why?  If I were being dramatic, I’d tell you it was the pursuit of passion.  But in reality, when I did it I wasn’t even sure what my passion was.  I was just wildly unhappy.
